Psychological Counselling:

Psychological counselling is a collaborative process between the psychologist and the client. It is grounded in dialogue and offers a supportive, confidential space where you can speak freely without fear of judgment.

This is a mutual exploration aimed at making sense of your emotional difficulties, personal challenges, or moments of transition. Through my counselling, you gain greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and begin to understand the patterns that may be causing discomfort or holding you back.

The goal is not only to identify the roots of emotional distress but also to support personal growth, emotional regulation, and clearer decision-making. Counselling helps you navigate life’s complexities with greater presence, resilience, and clarity.
When Is Psychological Counselling Helpful?

Psychological counselling offers a space for listening and dialogue, built on trust, confidentiality, and emotional support. Unlike coaching, it doesn't focus on achieving a specific goal, but instead invites a deeper exploration of your emotions, thoughts, relationships, and personal challenges.

Together, we explore what you’re experiencing on a psychological level, giving a name to what you feel, making sense of your inner world, and developing healthier and more adaptive ways of facing difficulties.

Even when there’s no clear problem but rather a general sense of discomfort or an emotion that's hard to understand, psychological counselling can help you reconnect with your inner strengths, reinforce your identity, and gain deeper insight into your personality.

Counselling can be particularly helpful when you are facing:
-
Burnout, anxiety, depression, or persistent sadness
-
Major life changes (personal, emotional, or professional)
-
Relational, family, or identity-related difficulties
-
Low self-esteem, guilt, or emotional blocks

Does Online Psychological Counselling Work?

Yes, online psychological support via video call is effective for many people. This is especially valuable when in-person sessions are not possible due to geographic distance, health limitations, or situations like the pandemic.

One of the key advantages of online sessions is accessibility. When built on empathy, trust, and a strong therapeutic collaboration, online sessions can be just as meaningful and transformative as in-person sessions. Many clients even find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own safe places.

Seeking help takes strength and courage. Through online counselling, individuals can explore and address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, LGBTQIA+ questions, addiction, eating disorders, or moments of life transition.

Counselling can support you in navigating emotional crises, restoring balance, and promoting well-being on a mental, emotional, and physical level.

Pros and Cons of Online Sessions

Pros

1. Convenience and Flexibility: Online sessions offers comfort and flexibility, allowing you to attend our calls from your own home or any private space. You can often choose time slots that fit your daily routine, making it easier to maintain consistency in your pathway to transformation.

2. Cost-Effective: Compared to traditional in-person services, online sessions are often more affordable. There are no transportation costs or time lost in moving, which also makes it more accessible in the long term.

3. Time-Saving: Without the need to travel to and from a psychologist's studio, online counselling saves your time especially for people with busy schedules or limited mobility.

4. Perceived Anonymity: Many individuals feel safer and more comfortable opening up in the privacy of their own space. This increased sense of discretion can help reduce the stigma or anxiety associated with seeking psychological support.

5. Easier Access to Support: In many cases, reaching your mental health professional through email or secure messaging is faster and more efficient than navigating traditional systems. This helps maintain continuity and fosters a feeling of connection.

6. Comfort: Being in a familiar and comfortable environment can enhance emotional openness and connection during sessions. Whether you’re at home, traveling, or in your office, psychological counselling becomes a flexible and adaptive process.

7. Broader Access to a Specialists: Geographic location is no longer a barrier. Online sessions allows you to access professionals with specific expertise, even those outside your region or country for second opinions or tailored approaches.

Cons

1. Insurance Limitations: Not all health insurance policies (especially in the basic plan) cover online psychological services. This may require clients to cover the cost privately unless their supplementary insurance includes such coverage.

2. Crisis Management Limitations: In emergencies such as suicidal ideation or acute emotional breakdowns online professionals may not be able to intervene promptly. In such situations, immediate in-person assistance is always recommended.

3. Inappropriate for Severe Mental Health Conditions: Online counselling is not suitable for individuals requiring intensive psychiatric care, medication management, or close clinical observation. Certain cases demand direct, in-person treatment within a controlled setting for safety and effectiveness.

My Areas of Specialization

Over the years, I have developed a clinical practice that supports individuals navigating key life transitions. Whether shaped by migration, identity shifts, professional challenges, or relational changes, these moments often require deeper psychological support, and here you'll find the main areas I specialize in built on personal experiences, and clinical training.

Career Transitions and Personal Development

There are moments in life when you feel suspended between what you’ve left behind and what hasn’t yet taken form. Changing jobs, reinventing yourself, going back to studies, ending or starting a major project. These are complex phases that often bring confusion, anxiety, doubt, and a sense of being lost.

This area is not only part of my training, but also one of the most frequent topics in my clinical practice. I will support you in navigating this phase with clarity and resilience, helping you find direction and meaning, especially when life seems to have changed course. This work combines deep psychological listening blended with mental coaching techniques, will support you in building an authentic, grounded, and sustainable change.

Together we can:
-
clarify your values, strengths, and motivations
-
manage burnout situations, change-related anxiety, or professional dissatisfaction
-
make decisions aligned with who you are today
-
develop a vision of personal and professional growth without losing yourself along the way

Migration and Expat Life
Supporting those who live between cultures, languages, and global identities is one of my most natural and developed areas of expertise. I’ve personally experienced this journey more than once, and I know exactly what it means to leave a country, learn how to live in "world", and seek new reference points without losing yourself.

Relocating can be enriching and full of new opportunities, but it can also be very destabilizing. The challenges of integration, cultural disorientation, feelings of loneliness, or homesickness can all impact your emotional well-being, sense of identity, and quality of new relationships.

As a psychologist with direct experience in migration and co-founder of a Swiss association that supports expats’ mental health, I offer tailored support for those going through:

-
adaptation difficulties or cultural identity crises
-
transitions between languages, social environments, or cultural frameworks
-
depression, feelings of isolation or alienation
-
the need to reconnect with one’s inner roots or to redefine oneself — personally or professionally

Wherever you are in the world, you’ll find a space of trust and reflection, where your migratory experience can be reprocessed, your personal history valued, and your sense of presence and legacy restored.

Relationships Support and Transitions
Whether it's about rebuilding a bond, processing a betrayal, facing a separation, or navigating key life changes (moving in together, becoming parents, adapting to a new culture), my role is to walk with you through these changes with respect, sensitivity, and a structured approach.
My Approach
My clinical approach is rooted in socio-historical and interactionist psychology, which sees the human being as a dynamic and evolving system shaped by ongoing dialogue with personal history, cultural background, social contexts, and relationships from both, past and present.

In this perspective, changes are not imposed, but emerges organically from the interplay between what we’ve lived through, what we’re currently experiencing, and who we aspire to become.

To support this process, I integrate a range of evidence-based and holistic tools, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative analysis, inner voices mapping, the Hero’s Journey framework, and techniques from Human Connections Engineering. These tools help to understand emotional and cognitive patterns, explore mental functioning, and understand how individuals tell their story, position themselves in the world, and assign meaning to their experiences.

Together, we explore your personal narratives, relational dynamics, and life scenarios, not only through what causes suffering, but also through what holds your potential for transformation. In this process, awareness is not an abstract goal; it becomes an act of grounded reorganization of your life story.

My aim is to help you:
-
identify your core personal values and act in alignment with them
-
cultivate emotional intelligence and cognitive flexibility
-
face with greater awareness challenges such as: burnout, low self-esteem, life stagnation, anxiety, depression, procrastination, sexuality, difficulties, cultural or identity transitions

For the end, I create a safe, welcoming, and collaborative space, where you can bring your uncertainties, explore them with trust, and start to transform it in power.

Beyond addressing current struggles, our work also aims to develop key life skills such as:
-
authentic leadership
-
decision-making confidence
-
resilience
-
creativity
-
career transitions
-
intrinsic motivation
-
self-awareness
Each journey is unique, and each person is the hero of their own story. My role is to welcome you and walk by your side while you rewrite your path with fully presence, clarity, and inner freedom.
