Individual Psychotherapy:

The Individual psychotherapy is a bridge built together in a collaborative relationship between patient and psychologist. It's based on dialogue and provides supportive environment that allows the patient to speak openly without the fear of being judged.

Therefore, it's a two-way work, which aims to investigate elements of significant importance to help patients become aware of their situation in the problem. In this sense, patients will have a better acknowledge of their own thoughts and behaviours.

The Psychotherapy helps you identify the origin or the reason of certain conflict or sufferings, and its purpose is to develop an understanding of your emotions, your repressed thoughts, desires, feelings, and behaviours that negatively affect some or your psychological mechanisms.
E-Psychotherapy Works?

Yes, online psychotherapy in video chat does work for most people and this is a useful knowledge for those stuck at home during a pandemic, missing treatment. These formats have the significant advantage of being accessible in contexts in which face-to-face treatment is not possible, or practical. The most effective forms of e-therapies involve a client-therapist relationship built on empathy, integrity and a positive connection, online counselling can help clients overcome a number of concerns.

Seeking help requires strength and courage. Many people feel more comfortable opening up during the online counseling session than in a face-to-face contact with a therapist. Some of the challenges people usually seek e-counselling for include anxiety, depression, addictions, abuse, martial and/or family dissonance, eating disorders, trauma rehabilitation, gender identity, LGBTQ challenges, and other mental health issues. Online counselling can help overcome the crisis and regain balance in mental, emotional, and physical health.

Pros and Cons of Online Therapy

Pros of Online Therapy

Convenience and Affordability - Online therapy is usually fairly affordable and convenient. Since you will be attending therapy sessions online in the comfort of your own home, you can often schedule your therapy sessions for times that are the most convenient for you. E-therapy is usually less expensive than real-life therapy

Time Saver - If you have already undergone psychological counseling traditionally, you may have noticed that between going and coming from the therapists’ office, you are spending a great deal of time on the road.

Increased Perception of Anonymity - This is one of the strongest and most influential factors contributing to the popularity of online counseling services.

Ease of Contact - It's easier, in some cases much more easily, to contact your online mental health provider through e-mail and get a quick response than if you call a therapist or psychiatrist in real-life to ask a general question.

Comfort - This is a significant benefit! For the therapy to flow effectively, it is necessary for the patient to feel at ease in their environment. There is nothing more comfortable than being in the place where you want to be! Whether at home, on a trip, in your office, you can easily carry out your psychological counseling productively.

Expert Opinion - Since the online world knows no geographical boundaries, finding an expert to treat you or to offer a second opinion on a diagnosis is potentially much easier

Cons of Online Therapy

Insurance Companies May Not Cover It - Some insurance policies do not cover online therapy. So paying for psychotherapy services out-of-pocket might be considered.

Response to Crisis Situations - If a client is experiencing suicidal thoughts or has suffered a personal tragedy, it can be difficult or even impossible for the therapist to provide direct assistance.

Not Appropriate for Serious Psychiatric Illnesses - E-therapy can be useful for a variety of situations, but not when it comes to people that require close and direct treatment or in-person intervention. Since online therapists are distant from the client, it is difficult to respond quickly and effectively when a crisis happens.
My Approach
My approach in clinic is the social-interactionist phenomenological psychology, which is used to analyse the patient's social relationships. With that is possible to understand the differences and similarities of the Being-person in a specific system. Once we will understand the emotional and rational learning pathways, it will be possible to get to some internal and external conflicts that may hurts the patient’s feelings.

In this way, we will interconnect the processes of developing certain kind of thoughts with the qualitative information about your mental functioning and putting it together with your personal interpretation about the circumstances in which you are living. Then, we will be able to recognize the importance of certain phenomena in your life and how this consciousness was built to you.

Objectively speaking, the goal is to guide you in a process of developing emotional intelligence to face issues related to Low Self-Esteem, Sadness, Life Project x Procrastination, Introversion, Sexuality and Conflictual Relationships in a more resolutive and conscious way. Consequently, we will also work on developing interpersonal skills such as: Leadership, Decision Making, Career Transition, Creativity, Resilience, Motivation, Self-Knowledge, and many other social skills.

To achieve these goals, it is important to create a welcoming and honest environment between client and therapist, so in this way you will feel safe and comfortable to share your deepest thoughts.
